Simpson Refractories are market leaders in the strictly controlled discipline of rotary lime and aggregate kilns. Working often in extreme conditions, especially confined spaces, we recognise the necessity for structured safety management systems and ensure that managing our risks and the safety of all is at the forefront of our decision-making process.
We take our responsibilities in the subject of health, safety and welfare of all employees very seriously and this forms a fundamental, integral core part of our management systems. All employees hold a current passport to safety and all relevant plant drivers licenses are maintained. Confined space training is also part of our ongoing programme of safety management, which is audited by external consultants
All management systems rely in part on quantifiable documentation and we at Simpson Refractories pride ourselves on our fully proven systems and track record. Additionally our system which has been developed under our 'Continual Development' strategy also has at it's core the 'Competent Person' services of ProRisk Safety Management Ltd who are routinely communicated with and fully utilised through regular site safety inspections to ensure our regulative health, safety and welfare compliance is maintained.
