One of the world’s leading producers of Dolomitic products for the steel industry has used Simpson Refractories for the speedy repair of a rotary kiln hot spot at its site in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

Due to its geographical location in the centre of the UK, Simpsons was able to respond quickly and had a team onsite within 24 hours. The team ripped out 5m of brickwork and replaced with new in four working days.

This speedy turnaround lead to a significantly reduced kiln downtime for Steetley Dolomite meaning that they could re-commence commercial production as soon as possible.
